The Global Forum on Modern Direct Democracy is the premier global conference on participatory and direct-democratic procedures and practices around the world. It has convened twelve times since 2008:

The thirteenth edition of the Global Forum for Modern Direct Democracy is planned to take place in 2025 in Gabarone, Botswana.
